sxualcommunication
I created @sxualcommunication with the objective of being a resource to my community. By talking about sex, we remove the stigma associated with it. It is a continued disservice and health crisis when we neglect sexual health and refuse people the freedom to exist authentically.
Through writings of research and storytelling, community engagement and workshops, I hope to bring awareness to how a sex negative culture oppresses society at individual, community, and national levels. It’s reflective in our schools’ sex education curriculum, the media we consume, and the way we interact with one another in the world.
mdia representation
With the lack of comprehensive sex education in schools and the stigma deterring sexual health conversations in the home, young peoples’ first depictions of sex is often times television and film.
My content focuses largely on sex, sexuality and gender representation on television and film, and I work to encourage and advocate for accurate and appropriate media representation.
